pediatric injury extended review

Fatality review is a process that seek to learn from deaths that have occurred in order to prevent future fatalities. Injuries are the leading cause of death in children and young adults over 1 year of age. The work of MassPIER has been adapted to PIER. Through PIER, we have developed a process and tools to more effectively translate the work of reviewing child fatalities to interventions to prevent future fatalities, with a focus on on those children and families most impacted.
